New officers and members gathered virtually on Wednesday (June 9) for their first meeting of 2021-22 for MaPSAC, the Management and Professional Staff Advisory Committee.

The 2021-22 chair is Cameron Ward, an associate systems engineer in IT Customer Relations and Process Management, who was vice chair last year. The new vice chair, elected in April, is Amanda Emmons, the assistant bursar of payment processing in the Bursar’s Office.

MaPSAC had saluted departing members in May — Stacey Baisden, Deidre Bush, Hope Charters, Michelle Hadley, David Huckleberry, Dean Lingley, Denton Sederquist, Stephanie Winder and Suzanne Zurn-Birkhimer. Baisden was chair for 2020-21, and she, Bush and Huckleberry are beginning a year as nonvoting emeritus members. The departing emeritus members from 2020-21 are Malissa Ayala, John O’Malley and Danny Vukobratovich. Emeritus members serve a nonvoting year after their term to provide support, counsel and continuity.

The official transition date is June 1, at which time members will take their seats and begin serving on MaPSAC subcommittees and University committees.
