Revised FERPA policy

The policy on Access to Student Education Records (VIII.A.4), which addresses the University’s compliance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), is revised effective today (Feb. 1). Changes to the policy eliminate duplication of language with the annual notice of student rights and clarify responsibilities for maintaining disclosure logs and protecting education records. The policy includes an updated list of the University officials and records custodians on each campus.

Visit the new and revised policies page on the University Policy Office website for links to the full text of this document. Note: Policies do not apply to Purdue University Global, as it maintains its own policies and standards.
