Purdue Global offering online course in happiness

Purdue Global, in partnership with the Purdue for Life Foundation, is providing a free online course to help individuals implement an action plan to develop habits of happiness in their own life.

In a three-unit online format, participants will examine a variety of research-based approaches to enhance happiness and learn about misconceptions associated with happiness. Through this examination, participants will determine their level of happiness and identify their individual happiness goal. Participants will express and practice gratitude as well as habits of healthy eating, sleep, and exercise.

Get Happy will include self-paced readings, videos, activities and discussions. Live expert lectures will take place at 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, and recordings will be available within the online platform for those who are unable to attend. On average, participants can expect to spend three to five hours a week in each unit.

The course, which is open to the public, will run March 15 through April 6. Registration and more information are available online.
