Beginning Monday (Nov. 23), some gravel parking lots and the top levels of several parking garages on the West Lafayette campus will temporarily close.

The top levels of the following parking garages (letter corresponds to map) will be closed from Monday through March 1:

  • Grant Street (A)
  • Northwestern Avenue (B)
  • University Street (C)
  • Wood Street (D)
  • Harrison Street (E)

The McCutcheon Drive Parking Garage will remain available for students with the appropriate parking permit to leave their cars parked on campus during the break.

The following gravel parking lots will be closed Monday through Jan. 17:

  • South portion of Discovery Park Lot, A/B/C permits (F)
  • Lot southeast of Waldron Street and Sixth Street intersection, A/B permits (G)
  • Lot southeast of North Russell Street and Sixth Street intersection, A/B permits (H)
  • Lot southwest of South Russell Street and Harrison Street intersection, A/B permits (I)
  • Lots northwest of Grant Street and Harrison Street intersection, A/B/C permits (J)
  • Lot east of Purdue University Airport, Restricted Residence Hall & A/B/C permits (K)

“With the implementation of remote work and instruction, we have seen a decrease in campus parking utilization,” says Ryan Gallagher, senior director in Facilities Operations. "These closures will still allow for plenty of available parking spaces while helping to reduce costs associated with snow removal during the upcoming break and throughout the winter months.”
