Excellence in Research Awards ceremony to be held virtually today; livestream available

The Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships is honoring Purdue faculty for their demonstrated efforts in elevating Purdue's research at the annual Excellence in Research Awards ceremony at 4:30-5:30 p.m. ET today (Nov. 9).

This traditionally in-person event will be livestreamed as a YouTube Premier, which allows for live chatting among honorees and audience members.

Honorees include the recipients of Purdue's most prestigious awards in research and scholarship. The 2020 recipients of these awards are:

  • Lu Ann Aday Award: Jayson L. Lusk, Distinguished Professor and head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, College of Agriculture.
  • Arden L. Bement Jr. Award: Kaushik Roy, the Edward G. Tiedemann Jr. Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering.
  • Herbert Newby McCoy Award: Chris Greene, the Albert Overhauser Distinguished Professor of Physics and Astronomy, College of Science.

The ceremony also will recognize the Seed for Success Awards, Academic Research Awards, the Morrill Award, and Sigma Xi awards.
