Web certifications to migrate from Blackboard on Aug. 1

Due to the decommissioning of the current Blackboard platform, Purdue will migrate Web Certifications (WebCerts), an online application used by faculty and staff to complete annual regulatory compliance certifications. Due to the migration, WebCerts were re-evaluated and will be restructured depending upon course content and user access.

As a result, student certifications and topics related to software access will retain the WebCert designation and will be located in the Brightspace Learning Management System. The rest of the certifications, including regulatory compliance topics, will now be retitled Employment Certifications (EmploymentCerts) and will be relocated to SuccessFactors Learning Management System. Registration in the current PREMIS system will close today (July 17) to accommodate the transition.

Effective Tuesday (July 21), the following certifications will be located in the Brightspace Learning Management System:

  • Club Sports Driver Authorization
  • Data Classification and Handling Education Resources
  • Emergency Preparedness / All-Hazards Awareness Training
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
  • Gramm Leach Bliley Act / Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996
  • Lyles School of Civil Engineering / Right-to-Know Training
  • Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards
  • Protecting Social Security Numbers
  • Purdue Passenger Van Training
  • RecWell – Risk Management EAP Training
  • RecWell – Risk Management Non-EAP Training
  • RecWell – Risk Management Outdoor Club Sports and Challenge Course
  • RecWell – Risk Management Outdoor Intramurals
  • Tax-Exempt Bond Compliance – Private Business Use
  • Violent Behavior Policy Awareness
