New York Times reporter to give virtual discussion on sex, gender and COVID-19

The Women’s Global Health Institute and College of Liberal Arts are hosting a virtual interactive discussion with New York Times reporter Alisha Haridasani Gupta on “Sex, Gender and COVID-19.”

The event will take place at 7 p.m. Sept 17. It is free and open to Purdue staff, students, faculty and the general public.

Online registration is required at www.purdue.edu/dp/wghi. The link to access the virtual event will be sent to all registered participants about two days before the event.

As a journalist, Gupta covers a range of global news stories through the gender lens. She has covered, among many issues, inequality in the boardroom, the gendered ramifications of Brexit, the diversity of the Oscars, the biases programmed into artificial intelligence technology and how COVID-19 is affecting women.
