BCC, alumni organizations sponsoring ‘Where Do We Go from Here?’ web event on July 26

The Purdue University Black Cultural Center, Purdue Black Alumni Organization and Purdue Alumni Association will sponsor an online panel discussion titled “Where Do We Go from Here?: Dealing with Systematic Racism at Purdue and Beyond” at 4 p.m. July 26. Registration is required to view the discussion and can be completed online.

“Where Do We Go from Here?” will focus on the work that remains to eliminate racism and bigotry and to create an environment where African Americans can live without fear. This discussion will provide a space for participants to engage in civil discourse, share their feelings and determine next steps in working together to fight racism and change the country for the better.

“Where Do We Go from Here?” panelists will include currently enrolled students and Purdue alumni. The discussion will be moderated by Purdue alumnus Daryle Whyte, a managing partner and promoter of First Fridays of the Bay Area, an event promotions, marketing and networking organization for African American professionals. Whyte also will lead a Q&A session, which provide an opportunity for registered participants to engage in the conversation.
