Anthem, Parkview contract negotiations receive 48-hour extension

As the current contract expiration neared, a last-minute extension to the contract between Anthem and Parkview Health System provides an additional 48 hours for negotiations. The contract was set to expire at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday (July 28). If an agreement is not reached by 11:59 p.m. Thursday (July 30), the two parties will sever ties, resulting in Parkview physicians, facilities and services in Indiana being categorized as out-of-network.

Negotiations have been ongoing since mid-February between the two parties as Anthem continues its efforts to reach a fair agreement on behalf of the Purdue employees. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
