AAE to debut 75th anniversary series

The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics will kick off its 75th anniversary events with two featured speakers this week.

Richard Aboulafia, vice president, analysis of the Teal Group Corp., and Eric Stallmer, president of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, will have live events via WebEx. Both talks are open to the public and require online registration.

On the aeronautics side, Aboulafia will examine what challenges will confront the industry, what the recovery will look like, the timing and scope of new technology development and what is ahead in overall aviation market growth after the recovery. Online registration is available for his talk, which will be at 4 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 10).

Stallmer will focus on astronautics with the future of commercial space efforts and potential career paths in commercial space industries. The session, which will be at 11 a.m. on Friday (Sept. 11), also has online registration.

Registrants will receive a confirmation email with more details.
