Purdue Libraries announces new online teaching and learning tool for Fall 2020
Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies has announced that Leganto, an Ex Libris reading list and e-reserves management product fully integrated with the Libraries’ catalog and Brightspace, will be available in time for instructors to use it in their Fall 2020 courses.
Leganto allows instructors to select resource materials of all types – physical books, online or digitized book chapters, scholarly articles, videos, newspaper articles, websites, etc. – and compile them into one structured, comprehensive reading list accessible to students via Brightspace.
Because Leganto is linked to the Purdue Libraries catalog, students and instructors will be able to request, view, or access resources directly from the course reading list. With this new product, electronic course reserves will be available for a subset of Libraries’ titles for the first time.
More information and step-by-step instructions for using Leganto will be announced later this summer.
