Purdue staff who have experienced death loss are invited to participate in a weekly online grief support group hosted by Heather Servaty-Seib, professor of educational studies in the College of Education.

The group began Friday (March 27) and will run each Friday from noon to 1 p.m. through May 8.

The group meets virtually on Zoom through the recurring link here. No registration is required and those who join the group are not required to participate in any particular way.

“The group is an attempt to give back in the face of all that we cannot control right now,” Servaty-Seib says. “Grief can be such an isolating experience and groups are a powerful way to push back against that sense of isolation.”

Servaty-Seib is also the associate dean for student life in the Honors College. She also leads the University’s grief and loss research team.
