Center for Healthy Living offering guidance, risk assessment to those possibly exposed to COVID-19

The Center for Healthy Living on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus is providing guidance to symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals who believe they have been exposed to COVID-19.

Benefits-eligible employees and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan who believe they have come into contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive should call 765-494-2135 to speak with a CHL nurse. During the call, the nurse will ask questions and guide the individuals through a COVID-19 screening to determine if they potentially have been exposed and what their next plan of action needs to be, such as resuming normal stay-at-home activity/work, self-quarantining or seeking in-person health care.

Individuals who must quarantine or seek additional health care will receive a doctor’s note from CHL, which outlines their care and need to remain in quarantine and the number of days required.

For more information on COVID-19, refer to the University’s “Things you need to know about COVID-19” and Purdue Human Resources “Working through COVID-19” website.
