Butler Center awards 2020 Research Project Grant

The Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence has selected a project for the 2020 Research Project Grant for Assistant Professors.

The project, titled “Investigating Faculty Role Models in Academia: What Role Models Do Academic Faculty Have?,” will be conducted by faculty members from the Department of Computer and Information Technology: Dominic Kao, assistant professor (principal investigator); Dawn D. Laux, clinical associate professor (co-PI); and Ida B. Ngambeki, assistant professor (co-PI).

The research project grant is funded jointly by the Butler Center and the Ketan and Tanuja Sheth Family Endowment. Aimed at furthering the mission of the Butler Center, this award supports the work of an individual (or individuals) interested in developing leadership capacity of women, advancing inclusion and representation of women in academic decision making, or some similar focus.

No award was made for the 2020 Research Project Grant for Associate Professors funded jointly by the Butler Center and the Meghana and Vinayak Ranade Family Endowment.
