Abstracts sought for Working Paper Series' special issue on higher education and COVID-19

The Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence, in partnership with ADVANCE Purdue-Center for Faculty Success, is inviting faculty and graduate students to submit abstracts for a special issue of its Working Paper Series' focused on higher education and COVID-19.

The special issue is expected to be released in August. Submissions could include experiences and/or best practices for moving courses to an online platform; how to engage in research, teaching, work-life balance; how higher education institutions have responded to the pandemic; or other related topics. Details and a general description of types of submissions considered by the series are available online.

A 150-word abstract summarizing the paper’s essential points can be submitted to butler-advance@purdue.edu. Submissions should include the title of the paper (tentative is acceptable), name of author(s), rank or title, name of department (in order of authorship), and email of corresponding author.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is May 19. For more information, email butler-advance@purdue.edu.

The Butler Center introduced its Working Paper Series, titled "Navigating Careers in the Academy: Gender, Race, and Class," in Spring 2018. The series serves as a means for documenting and sharing interventions and/or practices and/or processes developed by and/or used by those in the academy to navigate their careers.
