Systemwide policy update
The following new and revised systemwide policies are effective today (Jan. 15).
Assignment, Construction, Alterations, Improvements and Maintenance to Facilities (IV.B.4)
Updates to this policy clarify the role of physical facilities departments on each campus and designate responsibility for the assignment of space to the CFO and chancellors.
Reduction in Workforce (VI.F.2)
Updates to this policy align references to staff classifications with current University terminology and clarify the benefits affected staff receive while in layoff status.
Use of Facilities (IV.B.1)
Updates to this policy clarify its systemwide application and the responsibilities of the CFO, chancellors and other senior-level administrators, as well as the responsibilities of all units, faculty, staff, students and recognized student organizations. The policy updates also include a definition for electric or motor powered personal vehicles.
