Purdue student tests positive for COVID-19

Purdue University was notified Monday (March 23) afternoon by the Tippecanoe County Health Department that a Purdue West Lafayette student has tested positive for COVID-19. The student currently is in Marion County, Indiana.

Public health officials are investigating the student’s relevant personal contacts and will contact each of them directly to discuss precautions and any necessary treatment.

Students, faculty and staff are reminded to practice social distancing and stay home if they are sick. Additional information about Purdue’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic can be found here.
