Policy on academic freedom
Effective Saturday (Feb. 1), the policy on Academic Freedom (I.A.4) supersedes the portions of Executive Memorandum No. B-48 covering the same topic. Few changes were made to the language other than to clarify the policy’s application to all faculty, lecturers, instructors, researchers and students, and to recognize the University’s Commitment to Freedom of Expression.
Visit the new and revised policies page on the University Policy Office website for links to the full text of this systemwide policy. Note: This policy does not apply to Purdue University Global, as it maintains its own policies.
