MSNBC journalist Joy-Ann Reid to speak at Purdue

Joy-Ann Reid, journalist and host of “AM Joy” on MSNBC, will speak at 5 p.m. Jan. 27 in Fowler Hall in Purdue’s Stewart Center. She is also the author of the book “Fracture: Barack Obama, the Clintons and the Racial Divide.”

Her talk is free and open to the public and is part of the Cummings-Perrucci Lecture, an annual series on class, race and gender inequality.

This year’s event is presented by the African American Studies and Research Center and co-sponsored by the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, the College of Education, the College of Health and Human Sciences, the Brian Lamb School of Communication, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Agriculture and the Division of Diversity and Inclusion.

The Cummings-Perrucci Lecture was endowed by Carolyn Cummings Perrucci, professor of sociology, and Robert Perrucci, professor emeritus of sociology.
