Innovation for International Development (I2D) Exposition invites poster abstracts

The Innovation for International Development Exposition hosted by Purdue’s Shah Family Global Innovation Lab is seeking students' abstracts for a poster session. Abstracts must be uploaded online by 11:59 p.m. March 23.

The poster session is open to any team, undergraduates or graduates, working on an innovation for international development. Students and researchers from all backgrounds, fields and colleges across campus are invited to participate. Possible topics should be related to social development challenges, sustainable development goals or global grand challenges. Sample topics include low-cost appropriate technologies for energy access, agricultural production and processing mechanization, water and sanitation solutions, health care technologies for the developing world, humanitarian response solutions, labor-saving innovations, or information and communication technologies for education or for economic development.

The poster session will be 1:30-3:30 p.m. April 2 in the Herman and Heddy Kurz Atrium in Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering. An awards reception will be at 5:30-6:30 p.m. The poster session is open to Purdue students, faculty and staff members. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three posters ($750, $500, $250). The prizes can be used toward project expenses or student travel.

Abstracts should be no more than 250 words. In addition to the abstract, submitters must provide names, affiliations and email addresses of co-authors, a faculty or staff advisor’s name and email, a title of the poster and a schedule of individual(s) expected attendance during the poster session. Abstracts can be uploaded here.

Accepted presenters will be notified by March 26. For questions regarding the abstract submission, contact Margaret Hegwood at mhegwood@purdue.edu.
