‘Health and Disease’ poster session to take place March 5; poster submissions sought

A poster session on “Health and Disease: Science, Technology, Culture and Policy Research” will take place on March 5, and submissions by students, staff and faculty are invited.

The event, which aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration in health and disease research across Purdue, will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in Purdue Memorial Union’s North Ballroom.

Students, staff and faculty are invited to participate and attend. Refreshments will be provided. Abstract submissions can be submitted online. Poster registration deadline is Feb. 21. All student poster submissions must be approved by the student’s advisor.

Graduate students can enter their posters in a competition with awards of $400 to first place, $300 to second place and $200 to third place. Categories for the competition will be cancer, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, health care culture and policy, health care technology and engineering; inflammation, immunology, and infectious diseases; and neuroscience and neurodegenerative diseases.

The poster session is sponsored by the College of Agriculture; College of Engineering; College of Health and Human Sciences; College of Liberal Arts; College of Pharmacy; College of Science; College of Veterinary Medicine; Purdue Polytechnic Institute; Purdue University Libraries; Bindley Bioscience Center in Purdue’s Discovery Park; Purdue University Center for Cancer Research; Purdue Institute of Inflammation, Immunology and Infectious Disease; Purdue Institute for Integrative Neuroscience; Purdue’s Public Policy Research Institute; and Purdue’s Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering.
