Faculty, staff invited to submit student nominations for Purdue Leadership Weekend

The Barbara Cook Chapter of Mortar Board, Purdue Foundation Student Board, and Rising Professionals are seeking Purdue undergraduates with leadership potential to participate in Purdue Leadership Weekend on March 6-8. Faculty and staff are asked to recommend current and emerging leaders from their areas of campus.

Purdue Leadership Weekend is a collaborative initiative among the three organizations, aligning three leadership-focused events into one weekend. Nominated students will be invited to participate in all three events throughout the weekend.

On March 6, Purdue Foundation Student Board will be hosting Build Dinner, a formal dinner aimed to connect and invest in emerging underclassmen Boilermaker leaders. This year, the theme of Build Dinner is “On Track to Success.” The evening will feature a distinguished speaker and a unique leadership development experience focused on celebrating early success as a Purdue student.

On March 7, Mortar Board will be hosting its annual Mortar Board Leadership Conference. This year, the conference will focus on the power of unique members united in a team with the theme “Uniquely United, A Boilermaker Family.” Speakers and various breakout session choices will be available to attendees throughout the morning.

Finally, on March 8, Rising Professionals will host six returning young alumni at its Pack the Panel event. Focused on “Discovering Your Boilermaker Experience,” the Rising Professionals will speak to the Purdue community on their personal stories and professional success.

Faculty and staff may nominate students for Purdue Leadership Weekend online. The deadline is Feb. 6.
