College of Education to host MTSS conference

The College of Education will host a conference titled “Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Leadership Academy: A Multi-Tiered Approach to Achieving Better Results in School.” The conference will take place at 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. April 1 in Stewart Center’s Loeb Playhouse.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about multi-tier systems of support and how the systems can be used in school to help all students. Guest speakers will address topics of dyslexia, behavior management, trauma-informed practices, explicit instruction and leadership within MTSS implementation. Registration for the event is required and can be completed online. The deadline to register is March 23. The cost to attend is $150 per person. Lunch will be provided.  

The event is co-sponsored by the Indiana Department of Education, Wabash Valley Education Center, McGraw-Hill and Indiana IEP Resource Center.
