Sports Wagering policy and Courseware and Online Modules standard now in effect

In response to the resolution passed by the Board of Trustees last week, the Executive Policy Review Group approved a systemwide policy on Sports Wagering (III.A.5) effective Friday (Oct. 18). The policy prohibits all University faculty, staff, students and contractors from placing, accepting or soliciting a sports wager on any Purdue team, student-athlete, coach, statistical occurrence, contest or event.

In addition, a new systemwide standard on Courseware and Online Modules (S-19) was effective Tuesday (Oct. 15). The standard supplements the University’s policy on Intellectual Property (I.A.1) by clarifying the policy’s application when faculty or staff participate in these online instructional activities.

These policies and standards apply to Purdue systemwide except for Purdue University Global. Visit the new and revised policies page on the University Policy Office website for links to the full text of these systemwide policies and standards.
