Workshop to discuss caregiving, self-care

Human Resources will host a family-friendly workshop for caregivers from noon to 1 p.m. Aug. 21 in Purdue Memorial Union, Room 263AB.

“Being a Caregiver” will present information on community resources and help participants recognize the importance of self-care for caregivers. Elizabeth Matheson, licensed clinical social worker, will lead the workshop, which will discuss who becomes a caregiver, why people become caregivers, common concerns and community supports for caregivers.

Registration, which is due Aug. 20, is available online. Log in and select "Wellness Events." Limited seats are available.
