LGBTQ faculty sought for Lunch and Learn on COACHE survey results

Purdue LGBTQ faculty are invited to participate in a Lunch and Learn designed to help the University better understand the lived experience behind the 2018 COACHE survey results.

The Lunch and Learn will be held 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 26 at Purdue Memorial Union's East and West Faculty Lounges. Registration is required, and the deadline to register is Sept. 19.

The Lunch and Learn will be facilitated by John Gates, vice provost for diversity and inclusion, and Lisa Mauer, interim associate vice provost for faculty affairs.

The Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) developed and administers a faculty job satisfaction survey, completed by faculty and a network of 250-plus colleges and universities.

During the spring 2018 semester, Purdue solicited faculty input through this survey. Tenured, tenure-track, clinical-track and research-track faculty and continuing lecturers were invited to participate via a link from the Graduate College of Education at Harvard University. The goal of the survey is to identify both areas of strength and of concern, and to guide actions for improvement.
