Workshop to present useful tips, information on breastfeeding

Human Resources will host a family-friendly workshop on breastfeeding at noon-1 p.m. May 20 in Stewart Center, Room 311.

“Breastfeeding: Managing the First Week / Preparing to Go Back to Work/School” will discuss how important the first weeks of breastfeeding are for the mother and baby. Azza Ahmed, associate professor of nursing, will lead the workshop. Participants will learn what to expect during the first week after childbirth, how to understand the baby’s behavior during the first week, and how to identify and manage common breastfeeding challenges to establish a successful breastfeeding relationship.

Registration is available online at the Healthy Boiler site (log in and select “Wellness Events”) and is due May 19. Limited seats are available.
