Spring Fling registration deadlines approaching

Spring Fling, the annual appreciation day for faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees, is set for May 22, and deadlines to volunteer and register for events are quickly approaching.

Spring Fling will be 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in and around Memorial Mall. Bingo, Zumba, disc golf, yard games, the Pet Supply Drive and the bloodmobile do not require registration.

Anyone who donates blood this year will be able to redeem a $10 digital gift card and will have a variety of places to choose from.

A mailing previously sent out includes registration forms for events and a staff appreciation card that employees must bring to Spring Fling to enter drawings for door prizes. Employees can look for the ticket barrel at the information table and deposit their entry card by 2 p.m. May 22.

The golf outing on the Kampen and Ackerman-Allen courses is $30. This special rate includes 18 holes walking, with the option of riding at a discounted rate of $10. To reserve a tee time, call 494-3139, Ext. 1. Online reservations will not work for this event. Times are expected to fill up quickly and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tee times begin at 11:30 a.m. May 22. Purdue staff IDs will be checked as players register at the respective clubhouse.

Register by 5 p.m. Friday (May 10) for the fitness walk, classic vehicle show and volunteer work. Fill out the registration card in the mailing or go to www.purdue.edu/springfling.
