Inaugural Family Friendly Fun Run to benefit campus child care endowment
The first Family Friendly Fun Run will be held on March 30. The 1K run (or walk) through campus is open to participants of all ages.
All proceeds from the run will benefit the Patty Jischke "Kids are the Future" Endowment. The endowment was created in 2010 to make quality early care and education more affordable on the Purdue campus for faculty, staff and graduate students.
Registration is available online at giving.purdue.edu/funrun. Tickets for adults are $20, while children ages 3 to 12 can participate for $5. Event T-shirts are also available, both online and at the event. Adult sizes are $12, and youth sizes are $10.
The run will be held at the Purdue University Early Care and Education Center at 1568 W. State St. On-site registration will be available from 8 to 9 a.m., and the run will begin at 9:15 a.m. Dogs on leashes, bikes, strollers and wagons are welcome.
Limited parking will be available on site, and additional parking will be available at First United Methodist Church, 1700 W. State St.
This event is sponsored by the Patty Jischke Early Care and Education Center, the Purdue Early Care and Education Center, the Ben and Maxine Miller Child Development Laboratory School and the Purdue Village Preschool.
