Crockpot cooking classes for Purdue faculty, staff and students
Crockpot cooking demonstrations will be held during spring semester in the Demonstration Kitchen at the Córdova Recreational Sports Center.
Menu and ingredients are provided. Participants take care of the prep work and leave with a meal for four in their crockpot. Participants without a crockpot can bring a container to take the meal with them to cook at home.
Crockpot Complete Meals for Four will be held 12:15-12:45 p.m. Fridays in the Demonstration Kitchen. The demonstration classes are open to all Purdue students, faculty and staff and their families.
The recipes to be featured are:
* Jan. 18: Chicken Teriyaki Quinoa Bowls.
* Feb. 1: Meaty Lasagna.
* Feb. 15: Simple Asian Pork Roast.
* March 1: Tex Mex Casserole.
* March 22: Hearty Beef Stew.
* April 5: Creamy Italian Chicken with Whole Wheat Rotini .
* April 19: Sesame Chicken with Quinoa and Stir Fry Vegetables.
The cost is $20 per person per session, and advance registration is necessary. To register, go online or visit the Member Services desk at the center. Membership at Recreation & Wellness (including "the Co-Rec") is not required to attend.
