Various WL campus facilities reducing hours for winter break

Reduced hours of operation will be in effect during winter break at a number of campus office and services on the West Lafayette campus. Some have begun adjusted hours, and some of the changes will last through Jan. 6. Spring semester will begin Jan. 7.

Nearly all operations will be closed on the official University holidays of Dec. 24, 25 and 31 and Jan. 1.

Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center will be closed from 5 p.m. Friday (Dec. 21) until the morning of Jan. 2. Today (Dec. 20) and Friday, several services and dining venues will be open. Union Rack and Roll will close at 11 p.m. today for the break. The Union Club Hotel will close at 1 p.m. Friday.

On Jan. 2, PMU and Stewart Center building hours and office services will return to normal and the hotel will resume 24-hour service. For Jan. 2-4, Pappy's and several other dining/market venues will be open. Pappy's will be open Jan. 5-6, and Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen on Jan. 6. Union Rack and Roll will be open daily from Jan. 2 including the weekend of Jan. 5-6. Details by venue or service for the entire period are here.

Purdue University Libraries will close all libraries by 5 p.m. Friday, and they will continue to be closed Dec. 22 through Jan. 1, then also Jan. 5-6. Most will have 8 a.m.-5 p.m. hours Jan. 2-4. Details by library are on winter break tabs here.

Recreation & Wellness has begun "Break Hours," applicable Dec. 15-23 and Jan. 3-4. "Holiday Hours" will be in effect Dec. 24, Dec. 26-31 and Jan. 2. Closures will be on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Standard semester hours resume Jan. 5. Each type of schedule pertains to the Córdova Recreational Sports Center, the Burke Aquatic Center and the Turf Recreational Exercise Center, known as TREC. This includes the pools, and climbing and bouldering walls and various services. Details are here.

Parking, Transportation, Materials Management and Distribution and the Purdue Surplus Store will be closed Dec. 22 through Jan. 1 and reopen on Jan. 2. Transportation requests prearranged by Dec. 21 will be supported through the self-service kiosk during the break.
