Talk to focus on challenges, opportunities of Myanmar’s higher education system

Purdue faculty, staff and students are invited to attend a talk on "Strengthening Myanmar's Higher Education System: Challenges and Opportunities" set for 10 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 3) in Wang Hall, Room 1004.

Myo Kywe, chairman of the National Education Policy Commission, will be the featured speaker. Kywe leads and advises reforms and policy matters for the Ministry of Education of the Union of Myanmar (Burma).

The talk will focus on international development and in investing in people and education through innovative partnerships among government, nongovernmental organizations and higher education institutions. The event is being held by Purdue's Office of Corporate and Global Partnerships and the Burmese American Community Institute.
