Proposals sought for 2019 Women in Leadership Institute

The 2019 Women in Leadership Institute Planning Committee is seeking proposals for its Feb. 23 conference in Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center.

The committee is seeking a variety of 60-minute sessions focused on at least one issue affecting women and girls as outlined in the Purdue American Association for University Women’s mission statement -- issues such as (but not limited to) pay equity, sexual violence, Title IX, reproductive rights, civil rights, LGBTQ issues, education and politics. The program proposal can be submitted online. Deadline to submit a program is Nov. 12.

The 2019 Women in Leadership Institute is a dynamic one-day conference that exists to develop the leadership capacity of women and to expose participants to the important social issues affecting women. The event is coordinated and hosted by the Purdue American Association of University Women and Civic Engagement & Leadership Development.
