HSA Bank to send welcome kits, will make contact with account holders to verify information

Human Resources is alerting employees that HSA Bank, the University’s 2019 vendor for health care and dependent care savings accounts, soon will be sending out welcome kits with instructions on how to set up accounts. In some cases, HSA Bank will be reaching out to employees to confirm account information via letter and/or telephone. This information is very important to make sure accounts are set up and ready for use in January, so employees are asked to respond as soon as possible with needed information.

“The switch from Payflex to HSA Bank as our new administrator for health care and dependent care savings accounts is a multifaceted transition,” says Candace Shaffer, director of benefits in Human Resources. “Representatives from HSA Bank will be contacting some employees as necessary regarding health care savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, limited purpose FSAs and health reimbursement accounts in order to confirm or update employee account information for 2019 accounts. We want to make sure our employees know to expect phone calls or letters from HSA Bank.”

Additionally, HSA Bank will send health care funding account cards in a separate communication. More detailed information about the transition to HSA Bank will be shared following the holiday and winter recess break.
