Center for Healthy Living offering ‘Holiday Gift Ideas' hands-on activity workshop

As the holiday season approaches, some might find themselves struggling to figure out last-minute gift ideas. The Center for Healthy Living acknowledges the stress that sometimes comes along with trying to find that perfect gift, so CHL providers will be offering a creative “Holiday Gift Ideas” workshop for benefits-eligible faculty, staff and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan.

The workshop will provide attendees with the information and instruction on how to make room sprays, bath bombs, lip balm and more.

“Holiday shopping and planning can cause an increased level of stress,” says Whitney Soto, registered nurse health coach at the Center for Healthy Living, who will be co-presenting for this workshop. “Homemade gifts can be more heartfelt and help save money. Come get creative with us and learn how to make your own holiday gifts for yourself or others.”

The workshop will take place 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 4) in Córdova Recreational Sports Center, Wellness Conference Room. Those interested should register by Monday (Dec. 3) via the Healthy Boiler Portal at www.healthyboiler.com or by calling CHL at 765-494-0111.

The center is open 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. Lab hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For medical consultation after hours or on weekends, contact the Anthem NurseLine at 888-279-5449 for assistance or schedule a virtual appointment via LiveHealth Online.
