APSAC awards grants to 18 employees for professional development

APSAC has awarded individual professional development grants to 18 administrative and professional staff members.

Grants up to $750 are awarded twice a year. APSAC, the Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee, presented a total of $11,995 for its fall 2018 grants. The spring application period will open in February.

Grant recipients, their positions and the areas in which they work are:

Connie Brophy, assistant director, Science Diversity Office, College of Science.
Josh Brown, industrial hygienist, Radiological and Environmental Management.
Kelsey Chapman, program coordinator, LGBTQ Center.
James Dekle, artist in residence -- choral director, Diversity and Inclusion.
Ronnell DuBose, assistant director for academic success, Horizons Student Support Services. 

Julie Hickman, senior facilities project manager, Ag Research and Graduate Education.
Kevin Jones, senior academic advisor, Computer Science.
Kris Knotts, web development and marketing analytics director, Krannert School of Management.
Brittany Laflen, registered veterinary technician, Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
Lan-Ying Lee, research scientist, Biological Sciences.

Janet Reed, Extension educator, Agriculture.
LeAnna Sanders, veterinary technologist, Small Animal Surgery.
Jeffrey Sanson, executive director, Indiana Council for Economic Education, Agricultural Economics.
Joanna Sharp, office manager/assistant to the dean of students, Office of the Dean of Students.

Kyle Smith, health physicist, Radiological and Environmental Management.
Jessica Teets, coordinator, University Policy Office, Office of the Vice President for Ethics and Compliance.
Rhonda von Werder, program manager, International Programs in Agriculture.
Judah Young, occupational safety specialist II, Radiological and Environmental Management.
