Women in Engineering inviting high school seniors to campus

Registration is open for a free, engineering-focused program geared toward high school seniors on Oct. 15.

"Seniors Exploring Engineering at Purdue" is sponsored by the Women in Engineering Program and is targeted specifically toward young women with an engineering focus. Seniors, their parents and teachers are invited.

Participants will meet professors, current engineering students and practicing women engineers. They will hear from representatives from the Office of Future Engineers, Admissions and more.

Students will be able to choose two engineering disciplines to explore more deeply. They may also choose an informative session from among the areas of Professional Practice experiences, Global Engineering, Engineering Projects in Community Service and Honors Engineering plus several other interest areas.

The day on campus will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided in the Purdue Memorial Union ballrooms with a presentation by a Purdue alumna.

Those arriving on Oct. 14 are invited to attend a meet-and-greet session in Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering.

More information and online registration are available online. Registration deadline is Oct. 8.
