Purdue Autism Center to host research conference

Researchers, students and community members are invited to attend the inaugural Purdue Autism Research Conference, on Oct. 18 at the Purdue's Stewart Center, hosted by the Purdue Autism Cluster.

The theme of the conference, “Measuring and Predicting Change in Autism,” will focus on the diverse fields related to autism, which range from basic to applied sciences. The featured keynote speakers are David Amaral, an expert in biomedical and neural characteristics of autism and Connie Kasari, an expert in social and communication interventions for children with autism.

The conference sessions are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 18 in the Stewart Center, Room 214. Immediately following the conference, a reception and poster session will take place from 5 to 7 p.m.

The cost is $20 for researchers and community members and $10 for students. More information and registration details can be found online. The deadline to register is Oct. 5. Lunch is provided.

On Oct. 18, on-site registration and coffee will be available between 8 and 9 a.m.
