PEAP offering discount for two Indianapolis Indians games
Attending a top-level minor league baseball game at Indianapolis' Victory Field with friends or family can be a bit easier on the wallet Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 by using the ticket arrangement provided by PEAP, a subcommittee of the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee.
PEAP, the Purdue Employees Activity Program, has obtained a box seat price of $15.50 for those two nights for persons using a special ticket website. The Indianapolis Indians will play the Louisville Bats each night in a Triple A matchup in the International League. The Indians were in first place in their division as of Aug. 15.
There is no limit on the number of tickets per order within the overall allotment and availability. There are no refunds or exchanges. PEAP is not arranging group transportation for this activity. The games:
* Aug. 31 (F): Friday Fireworks night. Game time 7:15 p.m.; gates open at 5:30 p.m. Seats in Section 118 near first base.
* Sept. 1 (Sa): Season Finale Fireworks & Scratch-off Prize Giveaway. Game time 6:05 p.m.; gates open at 4:30 p.m. Seats in Section 213 behind the first-base dugout.
To purchase tickets using the PEAP arrangement, go to the special website and use the password "peap" to proceed. Once there, select the appropriate day and follow the instructions.
The Indians' homepage is here. On the Victory Field tab, a link goes to a Frequently Asked Questions page about attending an event at Victory Field.
