Office of International Students and Scholars notifying campus of changes to federal policy on student visa status violations

Purdue's Office of International Students and Scholars has been informed of recent changes to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services' policy on student visa status violations.

Those who work with international students should be aware that status violations, such as not maintaining a full course of study, could render students' visa status invalid and are asked to carefully review the necessary requirements. Information and resources regarding how to maintain a legal student status at Purdue are available here.

Information sessions are being organized and will be announced soon. Individuals with questions may visit the Office of International Students and Scholars from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Schleman Hall of Student Services, Room 136. Immigration counselors within the office also may be reached at 765-494-5770, option 2, or ISS@purdue.edu.
