Free webcasts from Fidelity to cover saving, retirement

Purdue’s retirement partner, Fidelity, is offering webcasts to present practical tips to help employees live well financially, today and tomorrow. All webcasts are free, and employees do not need to have a Fidelity account to participate.

“Are You Emotionally Ready to Retire?” will be offered from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 22) and repeated from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 23).

Retiring is not just a big financial decision, it’s an emotional one, too. How does anyone know if they're ready to make the leap? This will be a conversation about preparing emotionally and mentally for when the day comes.

“Pay Off Student Loans Faster and Still Save for Your Future” will be offered from 1 to 2 p.m. Aug. 28 as well as from 3 to 4 p.m. Aug. 29.

Attendees will explore ways to pay off student loan debt quickly and save for other financial goals. The webcast will present tips and strategies to help evaluate options and decide which make sense.

“Saving for College in Three Simple Steps” will be offered from 1 to 2 p.m. Sept. 6 and also from 3 to 4 p.m. Sept. 12.

This webcast will outline what to know when planning for college education expenses, including the three steps to save without losing sight of the overall financial picture.
