Changes to continuing lecturer policy to be discussed at town hall

The Office of the Provost will host a town hall meeting from 2 to 3 p.m. Sept. 27 in Stewart Center, Room 206, to discuss changes to the continuing lecturer policy. These changes were inspired by the responses to the 2015 COACHE survey and the subsequent town hall with non-tenure track faculty and staff at Purdue.

The town hall, to which all continuing lecturers are invited, will be moderated by Peter Hollenbeck, vice provost for faculty affairs and professor of biological sciences. “We recognize the need to provide a career ladder for continuing lecturers and are looking for input from the lecturers on campus to ensure that the new policy will recognize their contributions to the teaching mission at Purdue,” Hollenbeck says.

All continuing lecturers are encouraged to join the discussion to help develop future Purdue programs and initiatives. Refreshments will be served. Questions or comments should be directed to Jessica Huber at jhuber@purdue.edu.
