The 2018 Healthy Boiler Wellness Program will wrap up in 14 days. Employees have until Sept. 30 to complete objectives and log their activities in the Healthy Boiler Portal to earn incentives in 2018.

As a reminder, the objectives to complete in order to qualify for 2018 Healthy Boiler incentives are:

* Select a primary care provider -- $50, employee or spouse only. $100, employee and spouse.

* Complete a physical and biometrics -- $100, employee or spouse only. $200, employee and spouse.

* Complete two pre-approved wellness activities from two different categories -- $100,  employee or spouse only. $200, employee and spouse.

Employees who have yet to complete any of the three objectives can do so over the next two weeks. Keep in mind that objective 1 must be complete to receive payment for objective 2 and objectives 1 and 2 must be complete to receive payment for objective 3.

“There is still time for employees who have not yet engaged in the 2018 Healthy Boiler Wellness Program or who have not completed all the objectives to do so,” says Candace Shaffer, director of benefits in Human Resources. “The Center for Heathy Living provides a unique, convenient resource to our employees on the West Lafayette campus in terms of identifying a PCP and having their physical and biometrics screening done -- as well participating in health  coaching sessions. That option also is available for our regional employees as well. The center offers telephonic wellness programs that allow all of Purdue employees to take advantage. The opportunity to earn incentive dollars is within reach, and I hope our employees use this opportunity as a way to improve their health and wellness now and in the future.”

Healthy Boiler Wellness Program

In 2018, Purdue University, in partnership with the Center for Healthy Living on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus, introduced its Healthy Boiler Wellness Program to promote wellness within the university population. Healthy Boiler encourages employees to engage in their health and wellness by identifying a primary care provider, having an annual physical and biometrics screening and participating in wellness activities.
