WBAA to celebrate 96 years with NPR host Steve Inskeep

WBAA, public radio at Purdue, will host a celebratory dinner featuring renowned journalist Steve Inskeep, host of NPR’s "Morning Edition" and "Up First," at 6 p.m. June 28 in Purdue Memorial Union in honor of the station’s 96-year anniversary.

As Indiana’s oldest continuously operating radio station, WBAA public radio has served Purdue and Greater Lafayette since 1922.

Inskeep is a native of Carmel, Indiana, and has reported on issues around the world as the host of "Morning Edition," "Up First," and, previously, "Weekend All Things Considered." In 2006, he received the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award from the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights in recognition of his 2005 NPR series Oil Money Divides Nigeria.

Tickets and more information about the event can be found online. Tickets are $96.
