Thank you from the Spring Fling committee

Thousands of faculty, staff, graduate staff and retirees enjoyed Spring Fling on May 24. Attendees enjoyed food, games, a car show, golfing and the fitness walk, among other events.

Nearly 900 people enjoyed the fitness walk and 40 people enjoyed the golf outing at the Kampen and Ackerman-Allen golf courses. Twenty-seven were entered in the vehicle show, and some 60 employees won door prizes at Spring Fling. To see who won door prizes, click here. Winners from the vehicle show can be found here.

The Spring Fling committee would like to thank:

* Administrators at the Córdova Recreational Sports Center for the use of the center.
* Physical Facilities grounds staff who handled trash, recycling equipment, signage, and staff to help with safety of attendees.

* Staff from the Office of Campus Master Planning & Sustainability who work hard each year to help create a zero-waste event.

* Staff from Purdue Dining & Catering who prepared the food.

* Staff from Earhart and Hillenbrand dining courts, Central Culinary Strategic Sourcing, and Central Production Kitchen who assisted in setup and teardown.

* Staff from Central Culinary Strategic Sourcing and Central Production Kitchen who delivered the food.

* Staff from Earhart Dining Court who coordinated the popcorn.

* Staff from Central Production Kitchen who coordinated the food carryout.

* Staff from Human Resources who coordinated the fitness walk.

* Staff from Human Resources who coordinated the vehicle show.

* Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee members who distributed cups.

* Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee members who coordinated bingo.

* Staff from the Córdova Recreational Sports Center who set up needed equipment.

* All staff and retirees who volunteered to serve food, soda, popcorn and ice cream. Also, those who volunteered to help set up and teardown.

* Staff from the Purdue Dining and Catering who coordinated volunteers.

* Purdue police and fire staff who maintained access and safety in areas surrounding the Córdova Recreational Sports Center.

* Members of the Purdue University Retirees Association.

* Staff from the Córdova Recreational Sports Center who instructed Zumba and yoga.

* Staff, retirees, and members of the Wabash Wanderers who helped with the fitness walk.

* Areas and departments that donated prizes for bingo.

* Staff from MMDC for providing helium for all the balloons.

* Staff from the Center for Healthy Living for providing screenings.

* Thanks also to everyone who was able to donate blood and/or food this year.
