Policy update

The Executive Policy Review Group took action on the following policies in April.

* A new policy on Academic-Year Employment, Interim (VI.F.12) replaces Executive Memorandum No. C-26 on the same topic. The policy, effective April 16, 2018, reflects action taken by the Board of Trustees that included finalizing the pay rates, removing the limit of 12 full-time weeks of employment during the summer and adding the option for regional campuses to use course rates. All changes to the policy are noted in its History and Updates section.

* The policy on IT Resource Logging (VII.B.5) is being withdrawn and replaced with a standard of the same name effective today (May 1). The new standard combines language from the former policy with language from the Basic Logging Standard, which is also superseded, and provides more detailed expectations for logging.

* The policy on Compliance with HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations (VIII.A.1) is being withdrawn and replaced with a standard of the same name effective today (May 1). The new standard reflects changes in organizational responsibilities.

* Updates were made to the policy on Amorous Relationships (III.A.1) effective today (May 1), which clarify application of the policy to previous amorous relationships, not just existing ones.
