Internet Native Banner upgrade scheduled for Monday

Users accessing Purdue's student information system, Internet Native Banner (INB or Banner), on or after Monday (June 4) will see that the forms-based application has been replaced by a modern, web-based system as planned.

Ellucian, the software vendor for Banner, has upgraded the system. As a result, Purdue, along with every other Banner institution, is transitioning to the new Banner 9.

In preparation for this transition, staff from the academic advising community, Enrollment Management, the Graduate School and ITaP conducted training workshops this spring attended by over 700 staff members.

Those who are Internet Native Banner (or INB) users and did not attend a training workshop or need further help can find a variety of training resources available via the Banner page of the myPurdue portal that can be used to make the transition. Users will see the Banner tab atop this page only if they have authorized access to Banner.

The Banner 9 Navigation Guide Video, or alternatively the Banner 9 Navigation Guide document, covers key concepts needed to bridge the gap between the old system and the new one.

Anyone who needs additional assistance in using the new system after using these resources should submit a request to itap@purdue.edu to connect with a member of the project team.
