Anthem mailing sent to clarify breast pump benefits

Anthem recently sent a mailing to homes of pregnant Purdue health plan members to clarify the breast pump benefits provided by the plan.

Anthem members with a breast pump benefit continue to have this benefit at no out-of-pocket cost.

The following providers offer the broadest selection of quality pumps at no out-of-pocket cost to the member:

* Byram, 877-773-1971, byramhealthcare.com.

* EdgePark, 800-320-0591, edgepark.com/breastpumps.

* Medline Industries Inc., 866-356-4997, option 5, medline.com.

Before placing an order, employees should call Anthem to confirm medical plan coverage of a breast pump. Next, employees will need a prescription from a health care provider. Have both the member ID card and prescription handy when placing an order with a supplier.

Additional information and instructions are available on the Benefits website.

Questions can be directed to Anthem by calling the number on the member ID card.
