Purdue International Scholar Research Symposium to showcase advances

The Office of International Students and Scholars announces that the Purdue International Scholar Research Symposium will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. March 14 in Stewart Center, Room 302-306. The world-class research being undertaken by international scholars at Purdue will be showcased in poster format. Awards will be given to the top three scholars based on poster presentation.

This symposium is an opportunity for the Office of International Students and Scholars, and other colleagues, to publicly and personally recognize their distinguished international scholars for their research and the respective faculty sponsors for their guidance and support. The symposium is intended to raise awareness of the outstanding contributions international scholars are making to a variety of academic disciplines, to Purdue and the world community.

All faculty and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend; reservations are not required.

“We are excited to share our scholars’ success and continued dedication to their research with the campus community,” says SJ Houston, counselor for international scholars in the Office of International Students and Scholars. “This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the work they are doing and see firsthand the importance of that work.”

Questions may be directed to intlscholars@purdue.edu. Reference the symposium in your email. Any J-1 Scholar still interested in registering should see the email regarding the symposium from Dec. 19 or contact intlscholars@purdue.edu.
