Personal electronics recycling event occurring Saturday
Physical Facilities is holding a personal electronics recycling event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (March 31) at Young Hall's circle drive in conjunction with Oscar Winski.
Some of the devices that may be recycled at this event include personal cellphones, computer equipment, fax machines, laptops, lithium-ion batteries, printers, radios and other electronics with a cord or battery. A full list of acceptable electronics is provided on the Oscar Winski website. Computer CRT monitors, microwaves and televisions will be taken for a fee.
Items that contain refrigerants, light bulbs, non-rechargeable batteries or alkaline batteries will not be taken at this event. Dehumidifiers, freezers, refrigerators, coolers, PCB ballasts and university-owned property are not acceptable.
The items collected at this event will be included in Purdue’s totals for the RecycleMania Tournament, which goes through the end of March.
